This weeks Concert and After Prom Donations

Hi Band Families…

 

Please plan on attending the Concert on Wednesday night, May 2^nd at 7:00 pm and bring your family…

 

Along with the 50/50 raffle we will have a donation table for After Prom.  Traditionally the Band has prepared and supported After Prom by doing the food.

 

We are in need of the following donations:

 

                                                                         -cases of bottled water-16oz

                                                              -hot dogs

                                                              -hot dog rolls

                                                              -popcorn kernels

                                                              -candy - hard individually wrapped

                                                              -otter pops

                                                              -ketsup

                                                              -mustard

                                                              -jalapeños

                                                              -large cans of nacho cheese

                                                              -large soft pretzels

 

Please donate what you can at the concert and we will send additional emails with items you can bring to the May 8^th Booster Meeting.

Thank you to all that attended the New Family Welcome this past week!

 

It was well attended and hopefully encouraging and not too overwhelming to all that came.

50/50 Raffle At Next Week's Concert

Hi Band Families,

 

We will be holding a 50/50 raffle at next week's band concert to raise money for the scholarship fund.

 

We will be selling tickets for $1.00 each.  The drawing will be at the end of the concert.  It is pretty simple, 50% of the proceeds will go into the scholarship rund and 50% will go to one lucky winner!

 

Must be present to win.

 

So dig up some extra cash and try your luck.  The real winner is the scholarship fund!

BANDIMERE JULY 2012

Pomona Band Supporters, Students and Race Fans,

 

It's Race Season again! Yes it is another year to Support our Kids and our Band!

 

This opportunity helps take care of a portion of our Band Budget for the year!

That means it is events like this that keep our Band fees low.

An event of this size and magnitude will take the support of the entire band.

 

We will operate the food stand on the east side of the track as other years.

 

We have two events this year Jet Cars & Fireworks and The Mile High Nationals.

 

Jet Cars & Fireworks is on July 4th and is one day.

For this event we will start around Noon and open at 1pm with a small set up crew.

First shift 12pm to 6pm. Needed 8 Volunteers: Four tips trained & Four Students

Second shift 4pm to10pm or until the stand is clean: Seven tips trained & Seven Students.

 

Mile High Nationals on July 20th -22nd. 

I do not have exact times for this event yet but:

    Last year Friday July 20th was 12pm to 10:30pm split into two shifts: 12pm to 6:30pm and 6pm to 10:30pm

    Saturday July21st was 8am to 6:30pm split into two shifts: 8am to 1:30pm and 1pm to 6:30pm

    and Sunday July22nd was 8am to 4:30pm split into two shifts: 8am to 12:30pm and 12pm to 4:30pm

 

This is a big venue to staff and takes a lot of work before hand and the sooner you can contact me know days and shifts you can the better. Work as many days and shift you can, Parents, Students, Friends and Family.
